Radio surgery & imaging I Probes I Dedicated products
All our CdTe detectors, Si detectors and CsI(Tl) scintillators can be fitted with probes of various shapes and sizes (almost no limitations in terms of possible dimensions)
Our probes are dedicated to industrial or medical use, and can therefore satisfy all our customers special requirements.

• CdTe and CZT probes :

Eurorad has developed a large set of probes incorporating the in-house manufactured CdTe & CdZnTe detectors of both counter and spectrometer grade, with active sizes ranging from 1 to 100 mm3 for planar and hemispherical structures.
Advantages of CdTe are : room temperature operation, no high voltage required (only 10-100V), very high efficiency, good energy resolution, low cost.
Some standard models are described, but probes following customer's specific needs can be also manufactured.

• Csi probes:

Eurorad has been pioneering in this field and offers a very large choice of probes incorporating a CsI(Tl) scintillator (of up to 50 mm diameter) coupled to a Si photodiode and a low noise preamplifier.
Energy threshold: the lower energy threshold for spectroscopic applications depends on the size of the scintillator. It is typically around 75 keV.
Energy resolution : depends on the size of the scintillator (see the brochure)
Efficency: the efficiency is exactly the same as a conventional scintillator & PMT arrangement
